Demerara Engineering, PLLC is a certified minority-owned professional consulting firm that focuses on structural engineering design and construction management. Founded by Oscar P. Walters, Jr., P.E. in 1991, the firm participates in a variety of structural engineering projects in the New York City, NY area.


We also specialize in the foundation investigation and design for all types of buildings. Our foundation design includes shallow spread footings, cantilevered lot line foundations, steel piles, timber piles, mini-piles, and underpinning of structures. We use state-of-the-art ground improvement technologies.


Our firm appreciates your objectives, constraints, schedules, and budgets. We eliminate major revisions, delays, and cost overruns through careful planning, innovative project management, and technical expertise.
